FUN RACE (Pre-Primary Wing)

The Pre-Primary Wing of Akhilesh Das Gupta School successfully organized Fun Races 2026 on 24 July 2026, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement, laughter, and enthusiasm. Students from Nursery, LKG, and UKG participated wholeheartedly in the event, displaying remarkable energy, confidence, and sportsmanship. The activities included the Hula Hoop Race for Nursery boys, the Obstacle Race for Nursery girls, the Hula Hoop Race for LKG boys, the Zig-Zag Race for LKG girls, the Frog Jump Race for UKG boys, and the Bear Walk Race for UKG girls. The event was further graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation and outstanding performances of the young learners. Her inspiring words and warm encouragement motivated the children and added to the joy and success of the event. Every child participated with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed the activities, making the event both exciting and memorable. The cheerful smiles, enthusiastic cheers, and active involvement of the students reflected the true spirit of fun, fitness, and teamwork. The event not only promoted physical development, coordination, and balance but also encouraged self-confidence, discipline, and healthy competition among the young learners. The dedicated efforts of the teachers and the overwhelming participation of the students made Fun Races 2026 a grand success, leaving everyone with joyful memories and reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic learning through sports and recreational activities.

INTER HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION

Akhilesh Das Gupta School organised the Inter-House Sports Competition on 10 July 2026, fostering the spirit of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and teamwork among students. The event featured exciting Chess and Table Tennis competitions, where participants from the four houses—Courage, Confidence, Power, and Faith—demonstrated exceptional skill, focus, and determination.The Chess Competition showcased students’ strategic thinking and patience. Devashish Singh of grade VIII from Courage House secured the First Position, while Yashasvi Singh of grade VI from Power House earned the Second Position. Shresth Pandey of grade VII from Confidence House secured the Third Position after a series of well-fought matches.The Table Tennis Competition was equally exhilarating. Virat Pal of grade VII from Confidence House emerged victorious, securing the First Position with an outstanding performance. Shubaan Srivastava of grade VIII from Confidence House claimed the Second Position, while Pratham Khanna of grade VII from Faith House secured the Third Position.The event concluded with Principal Ms. Anjana Swami congratulating the winners and appreciating the enthusiastic participation of all the students. She encouraged them to continue nurturing the values of discipline, perseverance, confidence, and fair play through sports. The competition was a grand success and reflected the school’s commitment to the holistic development of its students by promoting both academic excellence and physical fitness.

VAN MAHOTSAV

“Protecting nature today ensures a healthier tomorrow.” Akhilesh Das Gupta School, Lucknow, celebrated Van Mahotsav Week from 1st July to 7th July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers. The week aimed to promote environmental awareness and inspire everyone to adopt sustainable practices. The celebrations commenced with a special assembly conducted by the teachers. Principal Mrs. Anjana Swami addressed the students, apprised them of the significance of environmental conservation, and motivated them to plant more trees and embrace ecofriendly habits. The Plantation Drive emerged as the highlight of the week, symbolising the school’s commitment to a greener future. Students, teachers, and staff enthusiastically planted saplings on the school campus and pledged to nurture them with care and responsibility. Students also participated in a Slogan Writing Activity, spreading inspiring messages on saving trees. Their creativity was further showcased through the Picture Composition Competition and the Leaf Art and Craft Activity, where they expressed their love for nature through writing and artistic creations. The week concluded with a meaningful assembly by Grade VIII and a powerful Nukkad Natak, delivering a strong message on protecting greenery and maintaining ecological balance. The celebration was a grand success, inspiring students to become environmentally responsible citizens and contribute towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

MOVIE TIME

To welcome our young learners back after the summer break, ADGS organized a joyful Movie Time on 1st July 2026. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students from Toddlers to Grade II gathered to enjoy a fun-filled cinematic experience. The Toddlers watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, bringing smiles and laughter with Mickey and his friends. Nursery students enjoyed the delightful story Room on the Broom, while LKG students had a wonderful time watching Bluey, filled with fun, imagination, and family adventures. UKG students were captivated by the heartwarming animated film The Smeds and the Smoos, celebrating friendship and acceptance. Meanwhile, students of Grade I and II enjoyed The Snail and the Whale, a beautiful adventure that inspired courage, kindness, and the joy of exploring the world. With popcorn in hand and excitement in their eyes, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a cheerful and refreshing start to the new academic session, creating happy memories and setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY

Akhilesh Das Gupta School witnessed a historic and memorable occasion as it proudly conducted its first-ever Academic Excellence Award Ceremony and Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026–27. The event was celebrated with immense enthusiasm, dignity, and grandeur in the esteemed presence of respected Principal Ma’am, Ms. Anjana Swami, dedicated teachers, proud parents, and enthusiastic students.The ceremony commenced with the traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolising the triumph of knowledge and wisdom, followed by a soulful Ganesh Vandana presented by the students. The atmosphere resonated with positivity, grace, and cultural richness.The Academic Excellence Award Ceremony honoured students from Nursery to Grade VIII for their outstanding achievements in academics, attendance, creativity, discipline, communication, music, dance, and various co-curricular domains. The awards recognised the relentless efforts, sincerity, and dedication of the young achievers who have excelled through hard work and perseverance.The highlight of the event was the school’s first Investiture Ceremony, where newly elected student leaders were formally entrusted with their responsibilities. The Head Boy, Head Girl, House Captains, Sports Captains, Literary Captain, Cultural Captain, and Class Representatives received their badges and sashes with pride and dignity. The oath-taking ceremony reflected their commitment towards discipline, leadership, integrity, and service.The cultural performances, including vibrant dance and melodious musical presentations, added charm and enthusiasm to the celebration. Addressing the gathering, the Principal of ADGS, inspired students to pursue excellence with determination, humility, and confidence.The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem. The event truly marked the beginning of a strong tradition of recognising excellence and nurturing leadership at Akhilesh Das Gupta School.

POOL PARTY

On 12th May 2026, the Pre-Primary Wing of Akhilesh Das Gupta School organized a Splash Pool Party during school hours. Our kindergarten students enjoyed a fun-filled day with exciting water activities and games. The event was organized to give children a joyful and refreshing experience through water play and outdoor fun.The splash pool area was beautifully decorated with colourful floating balls and toys. Children arrived at school in their swimsuits with great excitement and enthusiasm. They happily splashed in the water, played with floating toys, balls and water tubes, and enjoyed spraying water on one another.Various fun activities were conducted class-wise to make the celebration more engaging and enjoyable:* **Toddlers** – Sponge Printing * **Nursery** – Sponge Squeezing * **LKG** – Water Passing Relay * **UKG** – Water Balloon PiñatasThe presence of our respected Principal Ma’am made the event even more special and memorable for the children. She interacted warmly with the students, encouraged them to participate enthusiastically and shared joyful moments with them during the celebration. Her support and cheerful participation added happiness and excitement to the event.The celebration ended with cheerful songs, laughter and dance performances. Children also enjoyed clicking pictures near the beautifully created selfie booth prepared by the teachers. It was truly a memorable day filled with smiles, fun and water adventure for our kindergarten students.The pool party was a great success as it helped children bond with their friends, play freely and enjoy a safe outdoor activity. The children were delighted and excited as they also received takeaways after the pool party.

FAMILY BLISS – MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Akhilesh Das Gupta School organized a heartwarming event, “Family Bliss,” to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday, 9th May 2026, for the students of the Pre-Primary Wing and Grades I & II. The event aimed to strengthen the mother-child bond, encourage creativity and participation, and create cherished memories.
The programme began with a lively retro theme from the 70s and 80s, as mothers and children arrived dressed in colourful outfits. The celebration featured a “Best Dressed Duo” ramp walk, creative craft activities, and engaging games such as Paper Folding Dance, Balloon Balancing, Blindfold Games, and “Guess Your Child’s Voice.”
A special highlight of the event was the heartfelt poem recitations and the sharing of beautiful motherhood memories by mothers and children, which added warmth and emotion to the celebration.
The event was filled with joy and enthusiasm, helping students build confidence, social skills, and stage presence while strengthening family bonds. The Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers and emphasized the importance of such activities for the holistic development of children. The Best Dressed Mother-Child Duo was awarded from each class of the Foundation Group.
The programme concluded on a happy note, leaving every mother and child with beautiful memories to cherish forever.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

A Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the students of Pre-Primary wing by Akhilesh Das Gupta School on Wednesday, 29th April 2026, in the Conference Hall. The objective was to provide the students a plateform to foster creativity , confidence and self expression among young learners.
The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the judges the Principal.
The participants captivated the audience with their creative costumes and confident presentations. The themes included cartoon characters, fruits and vegetables, Indian culture, and nature elements. Each child confidently spoke a few lines about their character, reflecting commendable effort and preparation. The performances were marked by enthusiasm, innocence, and creativity, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere.
The judges appreciated the efforts of all participants, and each performance was acknowledged with warm applause. The event significantly contributed to enhancing the students’ communication skills, self-confidence, and stage presence.
The principal Ms. Anjana Swami applauded and appreciated the students for their commendable performance.
