JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

Akhilesh Das Gupta School celebrated the auspicious festival of Janmashtami on 3rd September with great enthusiasm, devotion, and joy. The celebration from Toddlers to Grade II beautifully brought alive the spirit of Lord Krishna’s birth and teachings.The young learners looked adorable in their traditional attire, adding colour and charm to the celebration. The programme featured delightful dance performances, storytelling, and a special puja, creating a vibrant and devotional atmosphere.The children enthusiastically participated in the celebrations and showcased their talent through graceful performances and engaging presentations. The storytelling session helped the little ones connect with the inspiring tales and values associated with Lord Krishna.Our respected Principal Ma’am graced the occasion with her presence and encouraged the young learners with her warm words and blessings. Her inspiring message highlighted the values of love, kindness, compassion, righteousness, and devotion, reminding everyone to follow the positive teachings of Lord Krishna in their daily lives.The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with beautiful memories and the message that faith, love, and goodness always light the way.

VEGETABLE VENDOR

A Vegetable Vendor Activity was conducted at Akhilesh Das Gupta School on 24th August 2026 for students from Nursery to Grade II.The activity gave students an opportunity to learn about different vegetables through an engaging role-play of a vegetable market. Students enjoyed taking turns as vegetable vendors and customers while learning the names, colours, shapes and uses of different vegetables.The activity also helped students understand the concept of money. They practised identifying coins and notes, understanding their denominations, and using money while buying and selling vegetables.The activity enhanced students’ communication skills, social interaction, confidence, basic mathematical skills and financial awareness. It also promoted experiential learning and helped children connect classroom concepts with real-life situations.The students participated enthusiastically and thoroughly enjoyed the activity. Overall, the Vegetable Vendor Activity was an interactive, meaningful and enjoyable learning experience for all the young learners.

PLANETARIUM Visit

On Saturday, 22nd August, students of Akhilesh Das Gupta School from Grades 1 to 8 went on an exciting and educational visit to the Planetarium. Accompanied by their teachers, the students travelled safely to the venue by school buses. Upon reaching the Planetarium, the students explored a fascinating display of satellites, rockets, and spacecraft that have contributed to space exploration and scientific discoveries. They learned about the remarkable achievements of scientists and astronauts and gained a better understanding of how space missions have helped us explore the universe. The highlight of the visit was an engaging planetarium show, which took the students on an exciting journey through space and time. They learnt about various constellations, planets, and the Big Bang Theory, while the immersive presentation helped them visualise the vastness of the universe. The students also enjoyed an informative segment on dinosaurs,exploring their existence and disappearance from Earth. The students were fascinated to learn about India’s journey in space exploration and the various destinations and discoveries associated with these missions. The visit was a wonderful blend of learning, exploration and curiosity. It provided students with an opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world scientific discoveries and inspired them to develop a deeper interest in space, science and exploration. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the visit both memorable and enriching.

TALES OF WONDER – Story Telling Competition

A Story Telling Competition was organized for the students from Nursery to Grade 2 at Akhilesh Das Gupta School. The competition was conducted in two rounds, with the First Round held on 18th August 2026 and the Second Round held on 20th August 2026. The objective was to provide students with a platform to develop their communication skills, confidence, creativity, expression, and storytelling abilities.The programme commenced with a formal welcome of the judges and the Principal.The young storytellers enthusiastically participated in the competition and presented stories based on the themes of Panchatantra and Aespo’s Fables. The students narrated their stories with confidence and expressive voice modulation. Their performances reflected commendable preparation, creativity, enthusiasm, and stage presence.The judges appreciated the sincere efforts and confident performances of all the participants. Each child was encouraged and applauded for their storytelling skills, expressive presentation, and active participation. The competition provided a valuable opportunity for the students to enhance their communication skills, listening and speaking abilities, self-confidence, and overall personality development.The participants were felicitated with certificates by the judges and the Principal Ma’am in recognition of their enthusiastic participation and commendable performances.The event concluded on a cheerful note, leaving the young learners motivated and encouraged to participate in more such activities.

SPLASH POOL DAY

Our school enthusiastically celebrated Splash Pool Day on 3RD AUGUST for the students of Nursery to UKG during school hours. The event was organized to provide children with a fun-filled and refreshing experience while encouraging physical activity, confidence, and social interaction. The tiny tots arrived in colorful swimwear and eagerly participated in various water games and splash activities under the careful supervision of teachers and support staff. The children enjoyed playing in the splash pools, played with floating toys , balls and water tubes ,and enjoyed spraying water on one another that filled the atmosphere with laughter and excitement. All necessary safety measures and hygiene standards were maintained throughout the event.Splash Pool Day proved to be a memorable experience for the young learners. It helped them develop coordination, teamwork, and self-confidence while creating joyful memories with their friends. The event concluded with happy smiles on every child’s face, making it a grand success. The pool day was a great success as it helped children bond and also prepared them for upcoming pool party in august .

FUN RACE

A Fun Races event was organised at Akhilesh Das Gupta (ADG) School on Tuesday, 28th July 2026. The event included two exciting activities—Crab Walk and Colour Hunt.Students participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The Crab Walk enhanced their balance and coordination, while the Colour Hunt improved observation skills, colour recognition, and teamwork.Our respected Principal Ma’am appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and encouraged them to participate actively in sports and other activities.The event created a joyful atmosphere, promoting physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork. It concluded successfully with smiling faces and happy memories.

FUN RACE (Pre-Primary Wing)

The Pre-Primary Wing of Akhilesh Das Gupta School successfully organized Fun Races 2026 on 24 July 2026, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement, laughter, and enthusiasm. Students from Nursery, LKG, and UKG participated wholeheartedly in the event, displaying remarkable energy, confidence, and sportsmanship. The activities included the Hula Hoop Race for Nursery boys, the Obstacle Race for Nursery girls, the Hula Hoop Race for LKG boys, the Zig-Zag Race for LKG girls, the Frog Jump Race for UKG boys, and the Bear Walk Race for UKG girls. The event was further graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation and outstanding performances of the young learners. Her inspiring words and warm encouragement motivated the children and added to the joy and success of the event. Every child participated with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed the activities, making the event both exciting and memorable. The cheerful smiles, enthusiastic cheers, and active involvement of the students reflected the true spirit of fun, fitness, and teamwork. The event not only promoted physical development, coordination, and balance but also encouraged self-confidence, discipline, and healthy competition among the young learners. The dedicated efforts of the teachers and the overwhelming participation of the students made Fun Races 2026 a grand success, leaving everyone with joyful memories and reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic learning through sports and recreational activities.

MOVIE TIME

To welcome our young learners back after the summer break, ADGS organized a joyful Movie Time on 1st July 2026. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students from Toddlers to Grade II gathered to enjoy a fun-filled cinematic experience. The Toddlers watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, bringing smiles and laughter with Mickey and his friends. Nursery students enjoyed the delightful story Room on the Broom, while LKG students had a wonderful time watching Bluey, filled with fun, imagination, and family adventures. UKG students were captivated by the heartwarming animated film The Smeds and the Smoos, celebrating friendship and acceptance. Meanwhile, students of Grade I and II enjoyed The Snail and the Whale, a beautiful adventure that inspired courage, kindness, and the joy of exploring the world. With popcorn in hand and excitement in their eyes, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a cheerful and refreshing start to the new academic session, creating happy memories and setting a positive tone for the year ahead.

POOL PARTY

On 12th May 2026, the Pre-Primary Wing of Akhilesh Das Gupta School organized a Splash Pool Party during school hours. Our kindergarten students enjoyed a fun-filled day with exciting water activities and games. The event was organized to give children a joyful and refreshing experience through water play and outdoor fun.The splash pool area was beautifully decorated with colourful floating balls and toys. Children arrived at school in their swimsuits with great excitement and enthusiasm. They happily splashed in the water, played with floating toys, balls and water tubes, and enjoyed spraying water on one another.Various fun activities were conducted class-wise to make the celebration more engaging and enjoyable:* **Toddlers** – Sponge Printing * **Nursery** – Sponge Squeezing * **LKG** – Water Passing Relay * **UKG** – Water Balloon PiñatasThe presence of our respected Principal Ma’am made the event even more special and memorable for the children. She interacted warmly with the students, encouraged them to participate enthusiastically and shared joyful moments with them during the celebration. Her support and cheerful participation added happiness and excitement to the event.The celebration ended with cheerful songs, laughter and dance performances. Children also enjoyed clicking pictures near the beautifully created selfie booth prepared by the teachers. It was truly a memorable day filled with smiles, fun and water adventure for our kindergarten students.The pool party was a great success as it helped children bond with their friends, play freely and enjoy a safe outdoor activity. The children were delighted and excited as they also received takeaways after the pool party.

FAMILY BLISS – MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Akhilesh Das Gupta School organized a heartwarming event, “Family Bliss,” to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday, 9th May 2026, for the students of the Pre-Primary Wing and Grades I & II. The event aimed to strengthen the mother-child bond, encourage creativity and participation, and create cherished memories.
The programme began with a lively retro theme from the 70s and 80s, as mothers and children arrived dressed in colourful outfits. The celebration featured a “Best Dressed Duo” ramp walk, creative craft activities, and engaging games such as Paper Folding Dance, Balloon Balancing, Blindfold Games, and “Guess Your Child’s Voice.”
A special highlight of the event was the heartfelt poem recitations and the sharing of beautiful motherhood memories by mothers and children, which added warmth and emotion to the celebration.
The event was filled with joy and enthusiasm, helping students build confidence, social skills, and stage presence while strengthening family bonds. The Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers and emphasized the importance of such activities for the holistic development of children. The Best Dressed Mother-Child Duo was awarded from each class of the Foundation Group.
The programme concluded on a happy note, leaving every mother and child with beautiful memories to cherish forever.
