INTER HOUSE SCIENCE CHALLENGE

Akhilesh Das Gupta School successfully organised the Inter-House Science Challenge on 31st July 2026 to foster scientific curiosity, critical thinking, and teamwork among students. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Grades 3 to 8, with each house represented by two students from Grades 3–5 and two students from Grades 6–8.The competition featured four engaging categories: Inventions, Discoveries, Indian Scientists & ISRO; Green Science & Climate Change; Use of Science and Technology in Daily Life; and Cells, Microorganisms & the Human Body System. The quiz also included exciting rounds such as visual identification, experiment recognition, logo identification, mystery box, and STEAM challenge, making the event both informative and engaging.All the participating teams displayed remarkable scientific knowledge, confidence, and teamwork throughout the competition. The audience enthusiastically cheered for the participants, creating an energetic and encouraging atmosphere. The event provided an excellent platform for students to apply their classroom learning, enhance their analytical thinking, and develop a scientific temperament.After a closely contested competition, Faith House emerged as the Winner, and Power House secured the First Runner-up position.The Principal, Mrs. Anjana Swami, congratulated all the participants for their enthusiasticparticipation, scientific aptitude, and competitive spirit. The event reaffirmed the school’scommitment to promoting experiential learning, innovation, and scientific inquiry, inspiring students to develop a lifelong passion for science and discovery.

FUN RACE

A Fun Races event was organised at Akhilesh Das Gupta (ADG) School on Tuesday, 28th July 2026. The event included two exciting activities—Crab Walk and Colour Hunt.Students participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The Crab Walk enhanced their balance and coordination, while the Colour Hunt improved observation skills, colour recognition, and teamwork.Our respected Principal Ma’am appreciated the students’ enthusiasm and encouraged them to participate actively in sports and other activities.The event created a joyful atmosphere, promoting physical fitness, confidence, and teamwork. It concluded successfully with smiling faces and happy memories.

FUN RACE (Pre-Primary Wing)

The Pre-Primary Wing of Akhilesh Das Gupta School successfully organized Fun Races 2026 on 24 July 2026, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement, laughter, and enthusiasm. Students from Nursery, LKG, and UKG participated wholeheartedly in the event, displaying remarkable energy, confidence, and sportsmanship. The activities included the Hula Hoop Race for Nursery boys, the Obstacle Race for Nursery girls, the Hula Hoop Race for LKG boys, the Zig-Zag Race for LKG girls, the Frog Jump Race for UKG boys, and the Bear Walk Race for UKG girls. The event was further graced by the presence of our respected Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, who appreciated the enthusiastic participation and outstanding performances of the young learners. Her inspiring words and warm encouragement motivated the children and added to the joy and success of the event. Every child participated with great enthusiasm and thoroughly enjoyed the activities, making the event both exciting and memorable. The cheerful smiles, enthusiastic cheers, and active involvement of the students reflected the true spirit of fun, fitness, and teamwork. The event not only promoted physical development, coordination, and balance but also encouraged self-confidence, discipline, and healthy competition among the young learners. The dedicated efforts of the teachers and the overwhelming participation of the students made Fun Races 2026 a grand success, leaving everyone with joyful memories and reinforcing the school’s commitment to holistic learning through sports and recreational activities.

INTER HOUSE SPORTS COMPETITION

Akhilesh Das Gupta School organised the Inter-House Sports Competition on 10 July 2026, fostering the spirit of sportsmanship, healthy competition, and teamwork among students. The event featured exciting Chess and Table Tennis competitions, where participants from the four houses—Courage, Confidence, Power, and Faith—demonstrated exceptional skill, focus, and determination.The Chess Competition showcased students’ strategic thinking and patience. Devashish Singh of grade VIII from Courage House secured the First Position, while Yashasvi Singh of grade VI from Power House earned the Second Position. Shresth Pandey of grade VII from Confidence House secured the Third Position after a series of well-fought matches.The Table Tennis Competition was equally exhilarating. Virat Pal of grade VII from Confidence House emerged victorious, securing the First Position with an outstanding performance. Shubaan Srivastava of grade VIII from Confidence House claimed the Second Position, while Pratham Khanna of grade VII from Faith House secured the Third Position.The event concluded with Principal Ms. Anjana Swami congratulating the winners and appreciating the enthusiastic participation of all the students. She encouraged them to continue nurturing the values of discipline, perseverance, confidence, and fair play through sports. The competition was a grand success and reflected the school’s commitment to the holistic development of its students by promoting both academic excellence and physical fitness.

VAN MAHOTSAV

“Protecting nature today ensures a healthier tomorrow.” Akhilesh Das Gupta School, Lucknow, celebrated Van Mahotsav Week from 1st July to 7th July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and teachers. The week aimed to promote environmental awareness and inspire everyone to adopt sustainable practices. The celebrations commenced with a special assembly conducted by the teachers. Principal Mrs. Anjana Swami addressed the students, apprised them of the significance of environmental conservation, and motivated them to plant more trees and embrace ecofriendly habits. The Plantation Drive emerged as the highlight of the week, symbolising the school’s commitment to a greener future. Students, teachers, and staff enthusiastically planted saplings on the school campus and pledged to nurture them with care and responsibility. Students also participated in a Slogan Writing Activity, spreading inspiring messages on saving trees. Their creativity was further showcased through the Picture Composition Competition and the Leaf Art and Craft Activity, where they expressed their love for nature through writing and artistic creations. The week concluded with a meaningful assembly by Grade VIII and a powerful Nukkad Natak, delivering a strong message on protecting greenery and maintaining ecological balance. The celebration was a grand success, inspiring students to become environmentally responsible citizens and contribute towards building a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

MOVIE TIME

To welcome our young learners back after the summer break, ADGS organized a joyful Movie Time on 1st July 2026. The atmosphere was filled with excitement as students from Toddlers to Grade II gathered to enjoy a fun-filled cinematic experience. The Toddlers watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, bringing smiles and laughter with Mickey and his friends. Nursery students enjoyed the delightful story Room on the Broom, while LKG students had a wonderful time watching Bluey, filled with fun, imagination, and family adventures. UKG students were captivated by the heartwarming animated film The Smeds and the Smoos, celebrating friendship and acceptance. Meanwhile, students of Grade I and II enjoyed The Snail and the Whale, a beautiful adventure that inspired courage, kindness, and the joy of exploring the world. With popcorn in hand and excitement in their eyes, the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It was a cheerful and refreshing start to the new academic session, creating happy memories and setting a positive tone for the year ahead.
