Akhilesh Das Gupta School organized a heartwarming event, “Family Bliss,” to celebrate Mother’s Day on Saturday, 9th May 2026, for the students of the Pre-Primary Wing and Grades I & II. The event aimed to strengthen the mother-child bond, encourage creativity and participation, and create cherished memories.
The programme began with a lively retro theme from the 70s and 80s, as mothers and children arrived dressed in colourful outfits. The celebration featured a “Best Dressed Duo” ramp walk, creative craft activities, and engaging games such as Paper Folding Dance, Balloon Balancing, Blindfold Games, and “Guess Your Child’s Voice.”
A special highlight of the event was the heartfelt poem recitations and the sharing of beautiful motherhood memories by mothers and children, which added warmth and emotion to the celebration.
The event was filled with joy and enthusiasm, helping students build confidence, social skills, and stage presence while strengthening family bonds. The Principal, Ms. Anjana Swami, appreciated the efforts of the participants and organizers and emphasized the importance of such activities for the holistic development of children. The Best Dressed Mother-Child Duo was awarded from each class of the Foundation Group.
The programme concluded on a happy note, leaving every mother and child with beautiful memories to cherish forever.
