PLANETARIUM Visit

On Saturday, 22nd August, students of Akhilesh Das Gupta School from Grades 1 to 8 went on an exciting and educational visit to the Planetarium. Accompanied by their teachers, the students travelled safely to the venue by school buses. Upon reaching the Planetarium, the students explored a fascinating display of satellites, rockets, and spacecraft that have contributed to space exploration and scientific discoveries. They learned about the remarkable achievements of scientists and astronauts and gained a better understanding of how space missions have helped us explore the universe. The highlight of the visit was an engaging planetarium show, which took the students on an exciting journey through space and time. They learnt about various constellations, planets, and the Big Bang Theory, while the immersive presentation helped them visualise the vastness of the universe. The students also enjoyed an informative segment on dinosaurs,exploring their existence and disappearance from Earth. The students were fascinated to learn about India’s journey in space exploration and the various destinations and discoveries associated with these missions. The visit was a wonderful blend of learning, exploration and curiosity. It provided students with an opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world scientific discoveries and inspired them to develop a deeper interest in space, science and exploration. The enthusiastic participation of the students made the visit both memorable and enriching.
